Overview

The Industrial Water Absorption Cartridge Filter from Dynamic Filtration is a line of pleated water absorption filters that are used for absorbing free water from fluids as well as particulate removal. The filter is designed with 3 layers. The middle layer absorbs water and the two outer layers act as a normal filter removing particulates. The operator is signaled to change out the filter by an increase in differential pressure and ultimately shutting off the flow. A differential pressure of between 30 to 40 signals that the filter should be replaced.

Product Description

The filter is made of multi-layer media including two layers of our premium cellulose media and a middle layer of advanced exceptionally absorbent polymer. The outer layers remove particulate while the middle layer chemically bonds with water found in oils, fuels and gases. The filter is designed in a variety of micron levels to meet the needs of the application, from 1 micron up to 20 micron. Custom sizes and designs are available.

Product Features

Materials of Construction:

  • Filter Media - Two outer layers of premium phenolic resin impregnated cellulose pleated media is used for economical filtration, and high dirt-holding capacity. The inner layer is a super absorbent polymer to absorb water.

  • Inner Core - Electroplated Steel to prevent cartridge collapse at high pressures

  • End Caps - Plated Steel

  • Sleeves - Electroplated steel

  • Buna-N gaskets - Optimize the seal. Other materials are available. 

Specifications: 6"x18" and 6"x36" with an ID of 2 5/8" (2.625") inches (other ID sizes available upon request). 

Maximum flow rate - 120 GPM 

150 psi Collapse Strength - Heavy gauge steel caps and center core withstands high pressures and pressure surges.

Temperature: 250°F (139° C)
